Chrome Web Store package fix
The Chrome ZIP in v0.6.0 included a development-only manifest key, causing the Chrome Web Store to reject uploads. Use v0.6.1 for Chrome store uploads. The key now exists only in isolated test profiles and is absent from the shipped extension.
Builds, archive checks and downloaded-release verification reject development keys, even with valid checksums. CI and release jobs also load the actual ZIP in Chrome without changing its manifest or adding test permissions, then verify that the extension and popup load successfully. Browser loading and automated package checks do not represent Chrome Web Store review approval.
This release also integrates the six pending dependency updates: ESLint 10.10.0, checkout 7.0.1, setup-node 7.0.0, setup-python 7.0.0 and both CodeQL actions at 4.37.9. Future CodeQL updates are grouped to keep initialization and analysis compatible.
Includes all capture recovery, English UI, tooltip and editor workflow improvements from v0.6.0.
Downloads: Chrome and Firefox extension ZIPs, the static website ZIP, and SHA256SUMS. All three archives carry provenance bound to the release workflow, tag and commit. Website deployment and browser-store publication are separate from this GitHub release.

Chrome Web Store upload issue: this version includes a development-only manifest key. Use v0.6.1, which removes the key and adds store-package regression checks.
Capture and editing improvements
- Visible-area screenshots: Capture exactly what is on screen without scrolling. Full page also falls back to a visible screenshot when only an inner area scrolls, then offers a direct action to capture that complete area.
- Recoverable failures: Keep completed screenshots available if the editor cannot open. Retry editing, copy or save the image from the result panel. Capture failures offer a visible-area option where appropriate.
- Pending edits are preserved: Exporting or changing tools applies text and crop edits. Switching annotations and saving separate conflict copies preserves pending text.
- Clear English interface: Centralized English messages prepare the extension for later translations. Popup and editor controls have pointer and keyboard tooltips; mode explanations and help pages describe the workflows.
