RoadRaven v0.9.0

Installs and updates that just work: the Setup Wizard installs the Claude Code plugin, the app can update it for you, and in-app updates work on Linux.

Added

  • The Setup Wizard installs the Claude Code plugin: the tools, the orchestrate and work-node skills and the terminal pane, not just the MCP server. If claude can't be found or the install fails, the wizard sets up the MCP server as before and shows the commands to run.
  • Install and update the plugin from the app. When the plugin is missing or out of date, RoadRaven offers a dialog with one button that runs the install or update and shows each step.
  • ↗ Show in app on every row of the RoadRaven pane selects that item in RoadRaven, centres it and opens its notes. Agents can do the same with the new revealNode tool.

Fixed

  • Updates work on Linux. Every update check failed with "unable to get local issuer certificate"; the app now uses the system's certificates. A failed check is shown in Preferences.
  • Dropdowns open on Linux. The side panel's Status and Type menus and the Event Log filters didn't open on Linux; they are now in-app menus. With a dropdown focused, Enter, Space and the arrow keys open it instead of editing the selected node.
  • ~/.claude.json stays private. Earlier wizard versions left it readable by other users (0644) and replaced a symlinked config with a plain file. If you ran the wizard on Linux or macOS before, run chmod 600 ~/.claude.json once.
  • No more "RoadRaven is not running" after a restart. A closing app could delete the file the next one had just written to tell agents where to connect.
  • Plugin install on Windows: a timed-out step stops the whole claude process, a claude in a folder with &, ^ or % isn't run, and the commands to copy come one per line so they work in the command prompt.
  • The RoadRaven pane: a note on every UAT item you mark, Pass as well as Fail; re-tested items notify again; failed items wait for a fix; no stuck pane, Send or Run after a reload; agent labels survive switching files; follow-app theme works on Windows and macOS.

Changed

  • Smaller MCP replies: compact JSON, findNodes returns matches without their subtrees, and getRoadmap({ omitNotes: true }) also leaves out timestamps, so agents stay under Claude Code's result limit on big roadmaps.

On Windows, installed apps from 0.8.5 on offer this update in-app. On Linux, 0.8.x can't check for updates (the bug fixed above), so install 0.9.0 once with the one-liner; later updates work in-app. Every release ships SHA256SUMS.
