Sia Wallet v2.12.0 is a non-custodial desktop wallet for Siacoin (SC) and Siafunds (SF) — a consumer-friendly fork of walletd with a built-in legacy seed migration assistant, native Ledger hardware wallet support, and lite-mode sync by default.

  • Default lite-mode sync — no 256 GB blockchain download; full-node mode is a single toggle in Advanced Settings
  • Built-in legacy seed migration assistant — 28/29-word Sia-UI seeds → 12-word BIP39, seeds never leave the local machine
  • Native Ledger Nano S / Nano S Plus / Nano X support over USB and Bluetooth — no experimental browser flags
  • Guided four-step first-run wizard (down from walletd's eleven steps)
  • Watch-only accounts, cold-storage seed generation (--cold), air-gapped signing workflow
  • Tor routing via a user-provided local SOCKS5 proxy
  • Zero telemetry by default; opt-in crash reporter with plain-English consent
  • Fee estimator (Fast / Standard / Economy), dark mode, optional CoinGecko price display

Notes

  • Pre-v2 wallets (including Sia-UI, deprecated 2024) cannot transact on the post-Final-Cut Sia network. If you're migrating a legacy seed, use the built-in migration assistant on first run.
