YACP 1.4.0-yacp.88

YACP is a personal, opinionated firmware for Xteink X3 and X4 readers. This is its first downloadable release.

Main changes

• Rounded, cover-free YACP Home focused on the current book and direct resume.
• Quick Resume enabled after automatic sleep, with the X3 full-screen synchronization flashes removed.
• Lower-work X3 reader idle path, rate-limited USB checks, and debounced progress writes.
• Text antialiasing disabled by default while image rendering remains enabled.
• SD-card font discovery and catalogue allocation deferred until explicitly requested.
• Sequential next-chapter preparation with memory guards and no repeated SD probes.
• Autonomy tracking with no periodic wake-up.
• Reading Rhythm with daily intensity, weekly time, reading days, and streaks.
• First-start choice between YACP, CrossInk, and an existing custom button mapping.

• YACP-1.4.0-yacp.88-yacp-xlarge.bin: 16, 18, and 20 pt reader fonts.
• SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums for both binaries.

Validation status

• Tiny and Xlarge compile successfully locally and in GitHub Actions.
• Embedded version and variant were verified in both published binaries.
• Published checksums match the attached binaries.
• The simulator was used to validate the documented YACP, Autonomy, and Reading Rhythm paths.
• This exact release has not yet been installed and validated on X3 or X4 hardware.
• No numerical battery-life improvement is claimed yet.
