[BUG] - SideStore don't refresh - it says "not on WLAN and/or VPN"

Describe the bug

Ok, im done - i had used AltStore a long time and with very little Problems. But then i discovered Sidestore: well, no extra Server needed, active maintained - it was a no Brainer, to Switch. The Problem: it doesnt work anymore. And i dont know why. Installed Sidestore, it works like a charm. But then it stopped: "You do not appear connectet to WiFi and/or StosVPN" is the Message. Sidestore will not refresh himself or the Apps.

Whatever i tried, no Luck. I deinstalled SideStore, deinstalled LocalDevVPN. Refresh the Pairing Device with iLoader, used idevicepair to generate new Pairing File. Change the Anisette Server. Change the App-Server, i really tried anything, what the FAQs suggested.

No Luck: "You do not appear connectet to WiFi and/or StosVPN" is the only Message, i got, when i try to refresh.

In the Log-Files this is the only Message.
And Minimuxer says: "[ERROR] minimuxer::heartbeat: Failed to create heartbeat client: UnknownError"
In the Console Log there is a Error-Message: ""The file “embedded.mobileprovision” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file." but i dont know, if this relevant.

When i tried SideStore Nightly Build, i even cant Login in the Build with mit Apple ID - it says "Error": The "normal" Version of SideStore let me Login, but not refresh.

I really need some help...

Well, i cant refresh SideStore with mit iPhone. Dont know, if someone can this reproduce...

you have to use an extra VPN app - like I uses hide.me VPN (it's free). connect to ikev2, then to localdevpn/stosvpn, and it will work.

Thanks for the Answer. But i use LocalDevVPN (as suggested from the Sidestore.io FAQ), and now i Wonder: it is necessary to use a "real VPN"? Everyone says, LocalDevVPN doesnt need a real VPN-Connection... so what now? Oh and btw - currently the "Free Tarif" on hide.me cant be found, it throws a 404-Error Site.

Yeah, i tried this also. But, as i say in my Original Posting (with too much text, i appologize ^-^): when i had used the nightly build, i cant Login with my AppleID in the SideStore App.

Can someone explain:

• do we need a LocalDevVPN App with or without additional VPN-Connections?
• is the SideStore Main App functional with the newest iOS Version? (26.4)
• the Errors from minimuxer, are there "normal"? It says: "[ERROR] minimuxer::heartbeat: Failed to create heartbeat client: UnknownError" all the time.

I deactivated the Developer Mode on my iPhone, delete the VPN and SideStore App, switch back all Settings (as possible) to "default" on the iPhone. Deinstalled iLoader / iTunes on my Windows PC. Installed everything new. Try all the steps again... and voila:

it doesnt work.

SideStore will not Refresh. It says, the device is not connected with WLAN (it is) and/or hasn't installed and connected to the VPN (it is). At this State, the Software is stuck.

Maybe it has something to do with the newest Apple-Security-Update?

Got it to work with instructions from the reddit:
Workaround to finally get it to work. Download stable on iloader

1. Activate VPN Super IKEv2
2. Activate LocalDevVpn
3. Refresh sidestore
4. Add sources and download apps. I got errors saying that there were server issues but I didnt do anything and they downloaded anyway

Used Anisette server sidestore.xyz if that’s relevant

@federicotorrielli mh, not sure if this helps, but this is the order I did each step to get apps to refresh on iOS 26.4:

-turn developer mode off and back on again
-download and turn on localdevvpn (I was using StosVPN before)

• install nightly build of sidestore
• readd pairing file

I just uninstallled sidestore app, delete paring file and the server in iLoader
Reinstalled using nightly sidestore and all done

It seems, it worked (for the Moment) with SideStore nightly Build.

I uninstalled SideStore (not localdevvpn). Then in the newest Version of iLoader (2.1.1) i can choose "Delete Stored Pairing". I do this.
Then reboot the iPhone (dont know, if this necessary). Go through the pairing Process and choose to install SideStore nightly Build.

Now i can sign in with my Apple-ID (wasnt possible before). And the SideStore App refresh itself. I installed two Apps and will see, if it works...
