Redownloadable Back Issues from purchase or download

Perhaps this has been asked before but why is there no library to store all past downloads, if a magazine brings out an issue every month and sometimes perhaps smaller niche mags within their shelf, why is there no place for a user to grab older downloaded and/or purchased mags from?

So if they wanted to reread january edition in may and its no longer in the shelf?.. which obviously its going to struggle to store 12 or more issues.

Could you guys offer a library and maybe with the help of magrocket, perhaps magrocket could link to this page and any old editions that are no longer actively published but people have downloaded or bought, they could still be shown in the library, as long as they are still on the magrocket server? maybe? just thought id ask..

I'm not sure of the request. Why should "obviously going to struggle" with just 12 issues?

Because 12 active issues of a main magazine will stretch the iPhone beyond a good look and although it may fit on an ipad, There surely must be a better way to store back issues? also for magazines that publish micro mags or niche editions of their magazine, they are going to end up with alot of clutter very quickly.

For a monthly issue, it feels to me better to just scroll a list if you need a past issue than create a different interface somewhere else... that is going to be again... a list... to go through the issues. ;)

But I agree that might be a problem for magazines that publish more often. I'll mark this thread as feature request. :)

I am also looking for something of this sort. If this may get the feature released quicker, there is partial work on support for this feature an older version of baker framework at the link below:

Uhm where's the archive there? Regardless, unfortunately that is work done on an old version, so it's not portable. On the plus side, Andrew however is a direct contributor of the project. :)

We never did an archive there either. It was similar to the current Baker view listing all issues.....

Got it. I'll clarify how it works. :)

When I said above "I'll mark this thread as feature request." means that I added the tag "Feature" you see at the top right. It means that it's now listed as a specific feature request that the team or anyone could pick up and come here to implement.

We don't set timescales, but the features stay until done. :)
