v0.6.3
This release fixes playback of your own YouTube Music uploads on Windows, which never worked, and adds a way to save songs, albums, artists and playlists to your library straight from the ⋯ menu.
New features
- Save to library from the ⋯ menu on any song, album, artist or playlist card, and remove it again the same way. It writes to your YouTube account, not just locally.
- Songs can be taken back out of Library ▸ Songs. A song that is in the list only because its album is saved has no remove option, since the album is what holds it.
Improvements
- Subscribing on an artist page or saving on an album page now updates the library everywhere else in the app right away.
Bug fixes
- Your own uploads never played on Windows and asked you to sign in instead. The hidden cipher webview now serves its harness over a URI scheme, which Chromium accepts.
- Logs are written to
limusic.login the app data folder as well as stdout, so a Windows or macOS bug like that one can actually be reported with a log. - Liked songs now show as liked in search results.
- "All results" is clickable in the search suggestion panel.
- Home context menu strings are translated instead of hardcoded English.
On macOS, if the app says it "is damaged and can't be opened", run:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/limusic.app
