Somewhere new to browse: a history page, your uploaded albums, and covers that actually belong to the page you are on.
New features
- History: everything you have played, in YouTube Music's own day buckets, with Play all, Shuffle all and a filter. It sits on the home page where the Listen Together button was, and Listen Together keeps its titlebar entry.
- Uploads now shows your uploaded albums, not just loose tracks, on an All / Songs / Albums row. An uploaded album opens like any other album page.
- French joins the language picker.
Improvements
- Album pages use the album's own cover for the header backdrop instead of the artist's photo, so albums by one artist stop looking alike. It also drops the extra artist fetch every album page was making.
- A playlist you gave a cover now uses that cover as its backdrop. Playlists with YouTube's auto-built 2x2 collage keep the song art behind them.
Bug fixes
- Tracks played from an EP or a single now offer "Go to album" in their menu, like tracks from a full album already did.
New contributors
macOS: Gatekeeper will say the app "is damaged and can't be opened". That is the missing Apple Developer signature, not a bad download. Clear it with:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/limusic.app
Only the AppImage and the macOS .app self-update. The .rpm is a normal package, so rpm users install the new one by hand.
