v1.0.0
The first release of GPT-VoiceCoding, a macOS menu-bar app for voice control of Claude Code and Codex.
When a Claude Code or Codex session on your Mac stops, the app calls you. You hear which session stopped and what it stopped on, and your spoken answer goes back into that session. Away from the desk, you answer on Telegram. The call uses OpenAI's GPT-Live voice model through codex app-server, on the ChatGPT account you signed codex into, so you don't need an OpenAI API key.
Install
On an Apple Silicon Mac with Apple's Command Line Tools and Python 3.12 or newer:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Simon-AI-coding/GPT-VoiceCoding/main/scripts/install.sh | shThe installer builds the latest release from source and puts the app in /Applications. Run the same command again to upgrade when a new release comes out. The README lists everything you need and explains how it works.
From this release on, the app and the engine report the same version, and a new release is published whenever that version changes.
