DropWatch v0.1.10
DropWatch is now available as an MIT-licensed, self-hosted domain watcher maintained by Simplarix.
A single Go binary provides scheduled RDAP checks, supplementary DNS observations, SQLite history, Discord or SMTP notifications, a scriptable CLI, and a terminal dashboard. Availability requires repeated, time-separated authoritative observations; DropWatch does not register domains or guarantee registration.
This release adds the MIT license to the source, release downloads, and container image, updates public installation and deployment instructions, includes a dashboard preview with synthetic data, and corrects the CODEOWNERS maintainer reference. The container-security workflow now reserves disk space for its vulnerability database, matching the release workflow. No application configuration or database migration is required.
Download a Linux AMD64 or ARM64 binary and verify it against checksums.txt, or use the exact GHCR reference in image-digest.txt. Production deployments continue to use immutable image digests. The watcher needs outbound DNS/HTTPS and optional SMTP; it exposes no inbound port.
Validation: full module, formatting, vet, race-test and build checks; deterministic smoke and Compose checks; workflow lint; source, dependency, container and configuration security scans; container version, non-root runtime, healthcheck and bundled-license verification. The complete Git history was scanned for secrets.
