Custom Keyboard Project

The Overview Of my keyboard

  • Usually, typing on a keyboard has its own feeling; the moment you feel the buttons and how comfy it is plays a crucial role.
  • I made this because I know how it is to use a clanky keyboard that pains your wrists.
  • But with this, it's so easy to just swap out the keys.
  • And everything can be your own choice.

Key Features

  • Has attachable modules: Shows whatever you want on the OLED screen, including the bare PCB.
  • Has comfy switches: Everything is so soft and sounds nice.
  • Comes with a cooler: I know that our laptops always start heating up the moment we start gaming, so it has a cooler!.
  • Built-in Macrokey: A dedicated macrokey to customize your keyboard and make it feel like it's yours.

Hardware Requirements

To build this project, you will need the following components:

  • Microcontroller: Arduino,
  • Hotswaps: kalih hotswap
  • Display Screen: OLED display
  • Physical Input: Creamy switches
  • Connection: USB cable to connect to the computer

How It Works & Installation

1. Hardware Setup

Connect your Yashboard.

  • Simply plug it in.
  • Program the keys to send a keyboard shortcut or serial command to your computer when pressed.

Assembly

  • Make sure you have all the materials.
  • First, take the PCB, then place it inside the shell that has fillets at the edges
  • After that, place the switches of your choice.
  • Then place the top cover and attach it with some glue
  • Then place magnets into the dedicated hole of the shell.
  • Then attach the module of your choice!
  • Start placing the keys one by one ( already gave some inspiration in the model)
