First public release of an independent community visual workbench powered by PyAutoLens.

PyAutoLens-Workbench-v1.0.0-Illustrated.zip includes the application, bilingual documentation and 18 actual screenshots covering all product groups and multiple 3D redshift/camera views. The earlier smaller ZIP is retained as the initial documentation edition; application code is the same.

Extract the ZIP and install Python 3.12 or newer. The same application works on macOS and Windows.

  • macOS: double-click workbench/START_MAC.command, or run bash workbench/START_MAC.command.
  • Windows: double-click workbench/START_WINDOWS.cmd.
  • Both call the same start.py, create a local environment and install dependencies on first launch. Keep the terminal open while using the app.

The interface defaults to English, with a 中文 switch and saved preferences. Calculations run locally.

Validation and scope

Checked on Apple Silicon macOS with Python 3.12: launch, 3D scene, language switching, all 31 products, noisy simulation, exports and a completed synthetic quick fit. Windows was not rerun during publication; the original bundle records earlier Windows + Edge checks.

Current scope is forward simulation and teaching fits. Real-data import, full FitImaging, posterior inference, pixelized inversion and interferometry are not integrated. 3D distances are illustrative; at fixed angular Einstein radius, redshift controls move planes rather than infer a physical-mass deflection normalization. This project is independent and does not imply upstream endorsement.
