Local Japanese equity research with public factors, GUI/CLI, strategy and risk contracts, broker-neutral order planning, local simulation journals, and a stdio MCP Agent interface. No live trading or profitability certification is provided.

Distribution and validation

• Source is unchanged at the fixed commit. The retained wheel and sdist package version is 0.1.0rc1; their filenames and metadata are intentionally unchanged under this GitHub release tag.
• Previous independent Windows validation passed 158 framework unittest cases and 14 legacy pytest cases.
• Independent Ubuntu 24.04.5 LTS, kernel 6.8.0-142-generic, x86_64, Python 3.12.3: the same prior synthetic inputs ran against the installed wheel outside the checkout. Security ranking, targets, risk results and five order intents matched exactly. Derived factor scores differed by at most 3.303149548962e-16.
• The full Ubuntu suite did not complete: an initial 1800-second outer timeout was retained, and the full retry was stopped when scope narrowed to one reused-data case. The original independent acceptance remains 29/30 P0 PASS; full Ubuntu-suite reproduction is unverified. This publication does not claim that gate passed. Existing GitHub CI is not substituted for independent execution.

Advanced research diagnostics, full framework migration, real broker validation/recovery and complete historical J-Quants PIT certification remain documented limitations. Lookahead diagnostics certify available-at visibility only.

KabuForge v0.1.0-rc.1

v0.1.0-rc.1 is a public release candidate for the kabuforge Python package. It is intended for review of local Japanese-equity research and simulation workflows before a stable public release.

Public-source split

This release separates the public distribution from the private development source. It includes seven independently published public.* factor implementations and does not carry private factor implementations, private parameters, market records, account records, or credentials. Public factors are explicit implementations; they are not asserted to reproduce any omitted private implementation.

New public interfaces

• kabuforge CLI for doctor, factor and strategy catalogs, synthetic demo, local backtest/paper simulation, and stdio MCP startup.
• Shared application services with explicit factor and strategy registries, including the registered composite_factor strategy implementation.
• Workspace-bounded MCP tools with schema validation, durable local call receipts, R0/R1 default access, and explicit R2 paper opt-in with call and idempotency identities.
• Localized API documentation for Agent, factors, strategies, execution, security, and research-methodology boundaries.

Trading and research boundaries

The release does not enable real order submission, cancellation, broker connectivity, or trading authority. --expose-reserved-external only exposes disabled R3 future-contract stubs. Any later real-trading integration requires a trusted broker transport, human approval authority, single-use action-bound approval, and durable submission/reconciliation evidence.

The available-at lookahead check is a visibility gate, not a complete point-in-time certification. It does not establish data provenance, vendor timing, revisions, survivorship, corporate actions, universe validity, performance, or investment suitability.

Validation status

Local validation: 158 framework tests and 14 legacy-interface tests passed; 13 focused GUI tests passed after making the installed workbench self-contained. Source, wheel and sdist boundary audits passed. The retained public factor-composite source emits one ast.Num deprecation warning.

The final wheel installation passed API, CLI, MCP (including a cp1252 host encoding), and the GUI demo/preflight/backtest flow. Windows and Ubuntu CI passed for the release revision. Download PUBLIC_RELEASE_VALIDATION.json and SHA256SUMS with the wheel and source archive for verification. No live-broker or strategy certification is claimed.
