Context Manager 0.2.0
Context Manager 0.2.0 adds context reporting, compression-history inspection and reviewed notes, with safer preview controls.
- Separate the local context estimate, provider-reported request usage and preview-generation usage; read optional ACP status on demand through Harness's normal tool pipeline.
- Inspect compression records and original visible messages, with navigation toward both older and newer records.
- Preserve explicit decisions, rejected approaches, risks and next steps across later Context Manager summaries.
- Prevent duplicate paid previews, reject expired/cancelled previews, and keep review/apply controls accessible on narrow screens.
Download dsh-context-manager-0.2.0.tgz. SHA256SUMS.txt and release-manifest.json bind the archive and its eleven files to the release commit. This release is distributed through GitHub, not npm.
Validation: all 44 source and extracted-archive tests passed. All six CI lanes passed across Linux, macOS and Windows, Node 22/24, and Harness 0.2.0-rc.2, 0.2.1-alpha.1, 0.2.1-alpha.2 and 0.2.1-rc.2. These are plugin/API tests; packaged desktop GUI coverage and live third-party ACP/provider interoperability remain separate. Publishing does not alter an installed profile.
v0.1.5: reject revoked previews and complete Store scans
Fixes a race where a preview discarded or expired while session saving was in progress could still be applied. Adds precise DSH compatibility declarations and documented capability boundaries. Renames NOTICE to NOTICE.md, preserving attribution, so DSH Store can complete its source scan.
Validation: 34 source tests and 34 packed-plugin tests passed. Post-merge CI passed on Linux, macOS and Windows, covering DSH 0.2.0-rc.2, 0.2.1-alpha.1 and 0.2.1-alpha.2. Every archive file was verified byte-for-byte against the merged commit. Archive, SHA-256 checksum and release manifest are attached.
Summarization uses the configured host LLM and may incur provider charges. Apply persists compaction events. Dedicated CLI lifecycle/rollback and packaged desktop GUI checks remain unverified; this release does not imply Store approval.
DSH Context Manager v0.1.4
Fixes Summarize older groups skipping the newest eligible older exchange. With only one eligible older exchange, the button previously selected nothing; it now selects that exchange while keeping the latest exchange protected.
Summary progress text and documentation now describe the last routed model accurately, including host middleware that can route compaction requests to a separate summarizer. The README records complementary approaches from other context plugins and identifies future improvements without claiming untested interoperability.
Validation: all 26 tests passed against the rebuilt plugin and again against the host and browser files extracted from the attached package. The bulk-selection regression was reproduced before the fix. Tests use Harness 0.2.0-rc.2 with controlled model responses. No live desktop upgrade, restart, or model session was performed for this release.
The attached archive is a DeepSeek Harness plugin. See the README for installation requirements and the linked-folder workaround for affected community desktop builds.
DSH Context Manager v0.1.3
First public release of DSH Context Manager.
Adds a live Context button, usage breakdown, and selective Keep / Summarize / Omit controls. Review the exact replacement text before applying; originals stay in chat history. Tool/file output can be summarized, retained as text, or omitted from a summary.
Validated with 26 automated tests and a live DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.2 desktop test. The test reduced one redundant message from about 2,017 to 238 tokens and preserved all three facts in the next model response.
Install instructions and the workaround for community desktop builds that remove local archive installs are in the README. Restart Harness after updating. See validation details and limits.
This targets DeepSeek Harness. Native Windows and macOS desktop builds were not tested. Keep is per operation; permanent pinning and one-click undo are not included.
