d3kOS v0.9.9.5 — October 9, 2026
The most significant d3kOS release since v0.9.9.4.
Headline Capabilities
- OTA Self-Update — Pi now updates itself automatically from the cloud. Two-tap install, ECDSA-signed packages, automatic rollback on failure.
- Helm Voice AI (D-VA-01) — Say Helm, ask a question, hear the answer. Vosk STT + Piper TTS + Gemini with RAG from your boat manuals. Works offline.
- SafeHelm Collision Advisory (D02) — COLREGs Rules 13/14/15/18, CPA/TCPA engine, spoken and on-screen alerts. Advisory-only, no false alarms while moored.
- USB-CAN-A NMEA 2000 — Auto-detects USB-CAN-A or PiCAN-M on boot. No manual setup.
- AIS Redesign — ais-catcher replaces rtl_ais. Works from first boot, community telemetry disabled.
- AtMyBoat.com Integration — QR-based device registration, per-device Ed25519 auth, account pairing in one step.
