Fix: the presence sensor could read "Christian unknown is here". Every published name
was added to the presence list, including unknown. Since the sensor state is a list of
names joined by commas, a stranger report seconds after a real recognition turned into Christian, unknown — which reads like a second person called "unknown". Reported from a
phone notification that said exactly that.
The state now lists known people only. A stranger seen on their own leaves it at nobody, and stranger reports keep going out on faceid/event as before, where they can
be told apart properly. The last attribute still shows the most recent report of either
kind.
⚠️If an automation triggers on the sensor state being unknown, it needs changing —
use the faceid/event topic with person: unknown instead. That topic was always the
right place for stranger alerts; the sensor answers "who is here".
Why this matters beyond the wording: on this setup 13 of 39 stranger reports in a week
arrived within three minutes of a correct recognition on the same camera — one arrival,
several Frigate events, only some with a usable face. So the misleading state was not rare.
The history keeps up with the gallery. An entry reported as unknown whose face you
have since assigned to a person now also shows who it would be matched to today. The
entry itself stays untouched — it records what was reported, and that does not change
retroactively — but you get to see whether assigning the face actually helped. Only shown
when the current match would clear match_threshold; a best-guess of 0.13 is not an
answer and showing it would repeat the very confusion this tab exists to end.
Fix: deleting a person failed once they had set-aside photos.delete_person()
removed directory entries one by one, and unlink() on the _trimmed folder raises IsADirectoryError. Since the automatic reference checks create that folder, deletion was
broken for practically every person that had been through one. ignore_person() had the
same flaw. Found by a test written for something else entirely.
Fix: the HISTORY tab looked squashed. Face crops have very different aspect ratios;
without fixed heights the text and the button drifted line by line across a row. Cards now
have a fixed image height and a fixed meta block.
