docker: New Docker Volumes source (beta) that reads volume contents through the local Docker socket or from another host over SSH. Volumes are picked from a list of what the daemon can see, and any container holding one is stopped while it is read unless the source says otherwise.
credentials: An SSH credential profile can now generate its own keypair instead of taking a pasted one, in Ed25519, RSA 4096 or ECDSA and with an optional passphrase. The private key is created on the server and stored encrypted, and the public key is shown with a copy button and a .pub download so it can be installed on the host. (#143)
MongoDB: Sources can now reach MongoDB Atlas and other clusters that publish an SRV record. A hostname under mongodb.net is recognised on its own, and any other cluster can ask for the same by writing its host as mongodb+srv://your.host.
MongoDB: The Host field now takes a comma-separated seed list, so a replica set or a pair of mongos routers can be reached without a connection URI.
🐛 Bug Fixes
credentials: Renaming an SSH credential profile or changing its description no longer fails with a validation error. The dialog submitted an empty secret payload whenever it was opened for editing.
ui: The credential profile dialog now scrolls when its content does not fit the window. The lower part was cut off instead, with no way to reach the buttons.
MongoDB: Connecting to an Atlas cluster no longer fails with getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND. DBackup built a plain mongodb://host:port connection for a hostname that only resolves through SRV.
MongoDB: A trailing slash, a scheme or a port pasted into the Host field no longer breaks the connection. The field is now read the way it is written.
adapters: Testing the connection of a saved source no longer fails for secrets that live in the config rather than in a credential profile, such as MongoDB's deprecated inline URI. The test ran against a config the saved source never had, so it failed while backups from the same source kept working.
adapters: Connection forms prefill the fields that carry a default again, such as a port or a base path. They had silently stopped being filled in for every adapter.
storage: Restore now opens for backups whose job name, source name, path or file name holds characters outside Latin-1, such as Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew or emoji. The button previously did nothing at all and only left an encoding error in the browser console. (#139)
storage: Downloading a file whose name is not plain ASCII no longer fails with a server error. The name is now sent as UTF-8 and arrives intact instead of mangled.
🔒 Security
MongoDB: A password carried inside a connection string is now masked in the run log. Only a password passed as its own argument was masked before.
🎨 Improvements
restore: The progress line now shows how many bytes have been restored next to the file count, the way a backup already does.
adapters: A connection form with a mode picker now asks for a mode instead of leaving the area below it blank until one is chosen.
🔄 Changed
backup: A shadow copy is now released as soon as the source that needed it has been collected, instead of at the end of the run.
📝 Documentation
docker: New guide for the Docker Volumes source, covering socket access, what stopping containers does and does not promise, and the current limitations.
MongoDB: The source guide now describes how to reach Atlas, an SRV cluster and a replica set, and drops the connection URI field that the form has not offered since v2.6.0.
🧪 Tests
MongoDB: Added unit tests for how the Host field is read, covering SRV clusters, seed lists, pasted connection strings and log masking.
adapters: Added unit tests for filling a submitted config back up with the secrets of the saved config it belongs to.
