Install

  1. Download Otto-v0.2.0.pkg and double-click to run the installer
  2. Otto.app is placed in /Applications automatically
  3. Open Otto from Launchpad or Spotlight — the setup wizard guides you through entering your OpenAI API key

Gatekeeper notice: Otto is not notarized. On first launch, right-click → Open in Finder, then click Open in the dialog.

Requirements

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
  • Python 3 (pre-installed on macOS)
  • OpenAI API key

What the installer does

  • Places Otto.app in /Applications — no other files are written to your system
  • On first launch Otto installs its Python dependencies (~30 MB) into ~/Library/Application Support/Otto/ — no system Python packages are modified
