While open (and with the hook enabled) other programs on your computer can send a specific command to trigger custom messages!
By default this hook listens on port 22711, but this can be changed in your config.
An example of a valid command packet looks like this:
6¶0¶test
There are 3 variables separated by the '¶' character. These variables are (in order):
- The Game Type of the message
Valid game types are:
0 - Demon's Souls
1 - Dark Souls 1
2 - Dark Souls 2
3 - Dark Souls 3
4 - Bloodborne
5 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
6 - Elden Ring
7 - Elden Ring: Nightreign
8 - The Duskbloods
- The Message Type of the message
These vary from game to game as some games have more message types than others.
- The Text of the message
Anything can be entered here, no character limit or nothing, although certain esoteric characters might not work.
Simply send a correctly formatted command packet over UDP on the port the overlay is listening on and let it do the rest!
