Grimoire v1.31.5

Grimoire is a mod manager and companion tool for Deadlock. Browse and install mods from GameBanana, manage installed mods with drag-and-drop priority ordering, organize hero skins in the Locker, design crosshairs with real-time preview, edit your autoexec.cfg, save and switch between mod profiles, and detect file conflicts between mods. Available for Windows, Linux, and macOS (Apple Silicon).

A Nightly update channel, help finding the mod behind a Deadlock crash, and performance configs that finally look right in game.

What's New

New Features

  • Nightly update channel. Switch between Stable and Nightly in Settings > Updates to get fixes from main without waiting for the next release.
  • Possible crash cause. When Deadlock crashes on a HUD layout or .vdata file, the mod that supplied it gets a Possible crash cause badge on the Installed page and a warning in Launch Modded. Grimoire never disables anything for you.
  • Deadlock crash history. Settings > Support lists your Deadlock crashes with their details. Add up to ten to a bug report, with account IDs and personal paths hidden.
  • Search in Conflicts. Filter by mod name, VPK filename or shared file path.
  • Shift-click to bulk select on the Installed page. Shift-click a second mod to select the range between them.

Changed

  • Performance configs now apply their video settings. OptiLock FPS, OptiLock Max FPS and Sqooky's Testing ship a video.txt that they need to look right. Display settings (resolution, window mode, refresh rate, V-Sync, frame cap) are never touched, and Remove puts your values back.
  • Performance presets updated to OptiLock v5.2. OptiLock Max FPS now uses the new Potato Config.

Bug Fixes

  • Applying a profile scrambled the load order when mods spanned addon folders (a 100-mod profile put mod 100 right after mod 1). Fixed for profiles saved from now on, so save your older profiles again.
  • Update badges stayed on mods after updating them. Fixed.
  • Door Stuck's hero picker, voice lines and previews were empty on current Deadlock builds.

Windows:

  • Grimoire-Setup-1.31.5.exe. Per-user NSIS installer. Adds Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts and registers the grimoire: URL handler.
  • Grimoire-Portable-1.31.5.exe. Self-contained executable, no installation required.

Linux:

  • AppImage: Grimoire-1.31.5.AppImage
  • Debian/Ubuntu (apt, recommended): add the repo once, then sudo apt update && sudo apt install grimoire. Setup one-liner + key live at https://apt.grimoiremods.com (full steps: grimoiremods.com/download or docs/apt-repo.md).
  • Debian/Ubuntu (manual): grimoire_1.31.5_amd64.deb
  • Flatpak: Grimoire-1.31.5.flatpak (install with flatpak install Grimoire-1.31.5.flatpak)

macOS (Apple Silicon):

  • Grimoire-1.31.5-arm64.dmg. Requires Deadlock via CrossOver (see docs/macos.md). Right-click Open on first launch.

Requirements: Deadlock installed via Steam. Existing installer/AppImage users auto-update on next launch; apt users update via apt upgrade. Users who installed the .deb manually (not through the apt repo) should re-download or switch to the apt repo.
