Grimoire v1.32.0
Grimoire is a mod manager and companion tool for Deadlock. Browse and install mods from GameBanana, manage installed mods with drag-and-drop priority ordering, organize hero skins in the Locker, design crosshairs with real-time preview, edit your autoexec.cfg, save and switch between mod profiles, and detect file conflicts between mods. Available for Windows, Linux, and macOS (Apple Silicon).
The last Deadlock update moved the camera on every hero, so older hero skins put your camera in the wrong spot. Grimoire can now find and fix those skins for you. This release also adds a switch for the update check, moves Grimoire to a newer Electron, and fixes a batch of bugs where mods could lose their names or get mixed up.
What's New
New Features
- Camera fix for old hero skins. Skins made before the last Deadlock update keep the old camera and aim points, so your camera sits in the wrong spot. Grimoire marks them Old camera, and the mods need a camera fix button at the top of Installed fixes them in one click without changing anything else in the mod.
Changed
- Installed's warning buttons share one menu. When more than one needs you (conflicts, unknown mods, outdated data, camera fix), they collapse into a single dropdown instead of a row of buttons.
- You can turn off the update check. Settings > Updates > Check for updates automatically. When it's off, Grimoire only checks when you click Check for Updates. The check also no longer sends an install ID.
- The welcome screen shows what Grimoire connects to and lets you turn off the update check before it ever runs.
- No more requests to Google. The title font now comes with the app, and the spell-check download is off on Windows and Linux.
- Shared profiles and bundles only load thumbnails from GameBanana.
- File pickers remember the last folder you used.
- Linux now runs on Wayland directly (Electron 44). If something looks wrong, start Grimoire with
--ozone-platform=x11. On Wayland the crosshair Pin Window button can't keep the window on top.
Bug Fixes
- Launch Vanilla could erase mod names. Global and overflow mods lost their name, GameBanana link and art. This no longer happens, and Grimoire restores lost names on startup when it can.
- Launching from Grimoire wiped your Steam launch options. Grimoire now only clears them if you save an empty value in the Launch Options card.
- Old profiles still loaded in the wrong order. Profiles saved before 1.31.5 now apply in the right order too, so you don't need to save them again.
- Delete could remove the wrong mod if the mod list changed in the meantime. Grimoire now checks the file first and skips it if it changed.
- Refreshing the mod list during a reorder could mix things up. They now wait for each other.
- Select all picked mods in collapsed sections. It now only selects what you can see.
- Make X win did nothing against Global mods. Global mods always load first, so the button is now disabled and says why.
- Mod safety blocked some safe mods (like the Reze skin) that list the same empty file twice. Fixed. Valve has also fixed the game bug Mod safety guards against, so it is now marked optional.
- The outdated data badge showed hundreds of fake missing fields on some ability mods. Editor-only fields are now ignored.
- Flatpak warned that its runtime was out of date on every update. It now uses the supported 26.08 runtime.
- The update download bar scrolled away with the release notes. It now stays at the top.
- Wrong UI text. Stats rows no longer show "0 damage", and the Door Stuck page is no longer titled "Foundry".
