重點

修正：Chrome 通知不會出現，檢查還顯示失敗
0.3.0 把通知圖示改成依寶箱顏色即時繪製，但 Chrome 會擋下這種圖示，結果通知完全不會跳出，彈出視窗還顯示「上次檢查失敗：Unable to download all specified images」。遊戲其實都有領到，只是你不會知道。0.3.1 修好了；萬一圖示又出問題，也會改用內建圖示，不會再讓整次檢查失敗。

新增：Firefox 版

• 支援 Firefox 140 以上（桌面版），已送 Firefox 附加元件商店（addons.mozilla.org）審查
• 功能和 Chrome 版完全相同，已在 Firefox 實測：沿用登入狀態、自動領取、通知、一鍵／自動續期、Epic 提醒

新增：Steam 商店存取權被關掉時會提示
Firefox 的附加元件管理員（以及 Chrome 的「網站存取權」）可以關掉 FreeKeep 對 Steam 商店的存取。以前關掉後只會顯示看不懂的錯誤，現在彈出視窗會說明原因，並提供「允許存取」按鈕；權限一恢復就立刻重新檢查。

權限

• 沒有新增權限，仍然沒有 Cookie、分頁或腳本權限
• 內容安全政策（CSP）的連線清單加上 data:，讓瀏覽器能顯示本機繪製的通知圖示；data: 不會連到任何伺服器

安裝

• Chrome 線上商店：審查通過後會自動更新
• Firefox：商店審查通過後即可安裝
• 手動安裝（Chrome）：下載 freekeep-for-steam-0.3.1-chrome.zip，解壓縮後在 chrome://extensions 開啟開發人員模式並載入

Highlights

Fixed: no notifications in Chrome, and checks reported as failed. 0.3.0 draws the notification icon in your chest colours, which Chrome blocked, so notifications never appeared and the popup showed "Last check failed: Unable to download all specified images". Games were still claimed, but you weren't told. Fixed in 0.3.1, and a notification problem can no longer fail a check: FreeKeep falls back to the packaged icon.

New: Firefox. Firefox 140 or later (desktop), submitted to addons.mozilla.org. Same features as the Chrome version, tested in Firefox: browser session reuse, auto-claiming, notifications, one-click and automatic login renewal, Epic reminders.

New: a clear message when Steam store access is turned off. Firefox's add-on manager (and Chrome's site access menu) can turn off FreeKeep's access to the Steam store. Instead of a cryptic network error, the popup now explains it and offers Allow access; FreeKeep checks again as soon as access is back.

Permissions. No new permissions; still no cookies, tabs or scripting permissions. The Content Security Policy now allows data: connections, so the browser can show the locally drawn notification icon; data: reaches no server.

Downloads. -chrome.zip for Chromium browsers, -firefox.zip for Firefox (temporary install via about:debugging), and -sources.zip, the source package for Firefox's review (npm ci && npm run zip:firefox rebuilds identical files).

Steam 網頁登入每 24 小時到期，平常打開 Steam 網頁時會自動續期，但 FreeKeep 在背景檢查不會觸發續期。現在可以在設定選擇處理方式：

• 一鍵續期（預設）：點通知或彈出視窗的按鈕，在背景分頁完成續期，幾秒後自動關閉
• 自動續期（選用）：在背景走 Steam 的續期網址，完全不用操作；需要額外允許 login.steampowered.com
• 只提醒：只跳通知，FreeKeep 不會自己開分頁

全新介面

• Steam 配色的像素風彈出視窗與設定頁，設定都在同一頁，可即時查看 FreeKeep 能連到哪些網站
• 寶箱圖示可自訂顏色（8 種預設＋自訂）
• 像素字型內建在擴充功能裡，不會向任何字型伺服器下載

資安加強

• 內容安全政策（CSP）由瀏覽器強制執行：只能連到 Steam 與 Epic 清單，不能執行內嵌或遠端程式碼
• 背景程式逐欄驗證收到的指令

權限

• 新增選用權限 login.steampowered.com：只有選擇「自動續期」時才會請求，改選其他方式會移除

Highlights

Fixed: "not logged in" after a night away. Steam's web login lasts 24 hours and renews when you open a Steam page, which FreeKeep's background checks don't do. Pick how FreeKeep handles it: renew with one click (default), renew automatically (optional login.steampowered.com permission), or only remind me.

New look. Pixel-art popup and settings page in Steam colours, all settings on one page with a live list of the sites FreeKeep can reach, and a chest icon in colours you choose. The pixel fonts are bundled.

Hardening. A browser-enforced Content Security Policy limits connections to Steam and Epic's list and blocks inline or remote code; commands sent to the background are validated field by field.

Permissions. One new optional permission, login.steampowered.com, requested only for automatic renewal. Still no cookies, tabs or scripting permissions.

FreeKeep for Steam v0.2.2

Changes

• Check now is now clearly clickable: accent outline and a refresh icon.
• Login detection also reads Steam's data-userinfo, so a change on Steam's side is less likely to show you as logged out.
• Copy diagnostics now includes the result of the last login check (status, page path and a few yes/no signals, no account data).
• FAQ: what to do if FreeKeep says you're not logged in although you are.

FreeKeep for Steam v0.2.1

First public release of FreeKeep for Steam.

FreeKeep automatically claims Steam's limited-time free-to-keep games in the background, using the Steam session already in your browser. No password, no access to your login cookie, no server.

Highlights

• Automatic claiming of genuine free-to-keep promotions ("Limited Free Promotional Package"). Demos, playtests and free-to-play games are excluded.
• Checks your library: skips games you own and claims DLC only if you own the base game.
• Region-aware: uses your own Steam store region.
• Flexible schedule: every 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours, plus at browser startup. Claim automatically or confirm first.
• Optional Epic Games Store reminders (off by default): notifications and a dedicated tab for Epic's weekly free games. You claim them on Epic's site.

Privacy

• Reuses your existing browser session. Steam's login cookie is protected by HttpOnly, and FreeKeep doesn't have the cookies permission.

Install

• Manual (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera): download freekeep-for-steam-0.2.1-chrome.zip below, unzip it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and select the folder. Then sign in to the Steam store in the same browser.

Manual installs don't update automatically. Watch this repository's releases, or switch to the store version once it's available. You can verify the download with SHA256SUMS.txt.
