What's Changed

Highlights

  • Slice-based Rust API — All core functions now have _slice variants operating on flat &[N] slices, removing the hard
    dependency on a specific ndarray version (#60). Use default-features = false to opt out of ndarray entirely.
  • Draw module — New draw_boxes function to render bounding boxes on CHW image tensors, available in both Rust and
    Python.
  • pyo3/numpy 0.27 — Updated bindings to pyo3 0.27 and numpy 0.27.
  • Dropped PyPy support — pyo3 0.27 requires PyPy >= 3.11; CPython 3.9–3.13 remains fully supported.
  • PGO-optimized wheels — Release wheels are now built with profile-guided optimization on Linux, macOS, and Windows.
  • Rust crate published to crates.io — Releases now automatically publish powerboxesrs alongside the Python package.
