MBF Tools v3.3
What's new in v3.3
Smart guide step-skipping
- Dev mode already on? The guide skips the Settings / About / Build Number steps automatically and jumps straight to the wireless debugging section.
- Wireless debugging already on? Jumps directly to the pairing code screen — you still enter a code, just without the extra navigation steps.
- Setup already complete? Opening the guide bounces you straight back to the home screen instead of running through the whole wizard again.
Expanded device settings (Advanced screen)
- New refresh rates: 30 Hz and 60 Hz added alongside the existing 72 / 90 / 120 Hz options (30 Hz is experimental — not all Quest models support it).
- Per-level foveation: Fixed foveation now has individual Off / Low / Med / High buttons instead of just "Off".
- Guardian toggle: Enable or disable the boundary guardian at runtime without leaving the app.
- ASW toggle: Turn Asynchronous SpaceWarp on or off directly from the Advanced screen.
- Low Power preset: 60 Hz + CPU/GPU level 2 + high foveation + ASW on — ideal for battery life.
- Presets now set refresh rate: Battery (72 Hz), Balanced (90 Hz), and Max (120 Hz) presets each pin the refresh rate as well as CPU/GPU levels.
- Reset Overrides now also resets guardian and ASW back to defaults.
Unit tests
- Added 15 JUnit unit tests for
DeviceSettingsPresetscovering every preset, all prop names and values, and label/arg integrity checks.
