Kabloom Fruit was added in the update 0.2 and received more content in updates 0.2.2 and 0.3. It is loosely based on exploding cucumbers.

Generation

It is found in Plains biomes in the form of a bush. It generates in patches and has a default chance per chunk of 1 in 144.

Behavior

Kabloom Fruit grows in bushes with 8 total growth stages. The last 4 stages are repeated when the fruit is dropped or removed. Bone meal can be used on it to advance multiple stages at a time. It can also be pollinated by bees.

Any interaction (Right-clicking, Block breaking, Catching fire, Piston push, Entity collision) on a fully grown bush will cause the fruit to drop and explode. It can be sheared to obtain the fruit as an item. Doing so grants the advancement The Bloom Has Been Defused. Silk Touch can also be used to get the fruit without exploding.

When thrown, the fruit explodes, dealing damage and knockback in a small area and drops Kabloom Pulp. It has a cooldown of 1 second.

Kabloom Pulp

Kabloom Pulp is used to plant Kabloom Bushes. It can also be planted in a flower pot.

Kabloom Pulp can be consumed to restore 2 hunger and 0.3 saturation. It also grants players the effect Blast Endurance for 20 seconds. Kabloom Pulp can be used to brew Potions of Blast Endurance.

Blast Endurance

Blast Endurance reduces damage from explosions by 12% at level 1. Each level reduces explosion damage by an additional 8%, maxing out at level 12 for complete protection from explosion damage.

Crafting

Kabloom Fruit can be crafted into Kabloom Fruit Pulp in a 1:1 ratio.

9 Kabloom Fruits can be crafted into a Kabloom Fruit Pile.

9 Kabloom Pulp can be crafted into a Kabloom Pulp Block.

Kabloom Fruit Pile

Any interaction with the block will cause it to explode into 9 Kabloom Fruit entities. One of these will hit the ground first and scatter the rest. Silk Touch can be used to get the block without exploding.

Kabloom Pulp Block

It has a hitbox of height 1 pixel less than a full block. When stepped on, it slows entity motion and grants Blast Endurance for 5 seconds.
