v1.4.2
Minor release focused on fixes.
What’s new
- Fixes for .xcframework
Fixed a bug in the includes for the .xcframework. The generated build also includes OGG Vorbis support for macOS/iOS, MKV support for macOS and MP3 support for ARM64 macOS. More will be added in a future build. - Build improvements
QPDF, JXL and TIFF libraries now no longer build unnecessary components, making build times faster. They also no longer erroneously pick up libraries from homebrew instead of local ones, so you don't accidentally make dynamically linked builds if you happen to have libjpeg-turbo installed. - Other fixes
Fixed a bug in the ArchiveProcessor where internal files' dates would not be preserved.
Fixed a bug in the PdfProcessor where reinserting optimized files was failing in some cases.
Fixed a bug preventing finalization on containers who reduced their size more in phase 2 (optimization) than in phase 3 (finalization).
macOS: removing the Gatekeeper quarantine
When downloading binaries from the internet, macOS automatically marks them as “quarantined”.
If you try to run chsl and macOS shows a warning like:
“chsl cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”
…you need to remove the quarantine attribute manually.
How to remove the quarantine flag
Open Terminal in the folder where you downloaded chsl and run:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ./chslTo verify that the quarantine flag is gone:
xattr ./chslIf com.apple.quarantine no longer appears, you're good to go.
Now you can run:
./chsl ...Note
This issue does not occur if you compile chsl yourself.
