Cornice v0.2.1
Fixed
- The 0.2.0 download was built six commits early, so none of the fixes below reached it. This build has them.
- The keyboard shortcut now works with auto-collapse switched on. Revealing without touching the mouse used to put everything away again about a third of a second later.
- The build no longer carries
get-task-allow. That entitlement let any process running as the same user attach to Cornice and borrow what it holds: Accessibility, once gestures are on, and its event tap. - In Settings, each gesture arrow sits next to the words it belongs to instead of across the window from them.
- An auto-collapse delay saved below 0.2 seconds now reads as 0.2, which is what it has always done anyway.
Changed
- The settings say what they do. "Hide again when the pointer leaves the menu bar" instead of "Hide again automatically", "Start with the icons hidden" instead of "Start hidden", "Toggle button" as the heading for the button you click. The delay slider starts at 0.2 seconds, the smallest value the pointer check can honour.
- A shortcut can be set to the keys it already has, and a combination taken by Cornice's other action now says which one instead of blaming something unnamed.
Install: download Cornice.dmg below, drag it onto Applications.
The build is signed for development and not notarised, so the first launch is
right-click the app, Open, then Open again. Once is enough.
Requires macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later, Apple Silicon.
