Introduction

Recipe-App is a web application designed to store and manage recipes. It allows users to add, view, update, and delete recipes. The app is built with a modern tech stack including React.js for the frontend, Node.js with Express for the backend, and MongoDB for the database.

Features

• Add new recipes with ingredients, instructions, and cuisine type.

How to run the app

1.	Clone the repository
2.	Run npm install in the root directory
3.	Run npm start in the root directory
4.	Run cd recipe-backend
5.	Run npm install in the recipe-backend directory
6.	Create a .env file in the recipe-backend directory with the following contents:
MONGO_URI=your_mongodb_uri_here
PORT=5001
7.	Run node server.js in the recipe-backend directory
8.	Go to http://localhost:9000/ in your browser

Further Improvements

• Add Remarks: Allow users to add remarks to recipes.
• OCR Integration: Use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract ingredients from receipts and add them to the ingredient database.
• Image Upload: Add functionality to upload images of the recipes.
• Search Functionality: Implement a search feature to find recipes easily.
• Sorting Options: Enable sorting of recipes by name, date, etc.
• Share Recipes: Add a feature to share recipes via social media or email.
• Print Recipes: Allow users to print recipes.
• Favorite Recipes: Enable users to save recipes to their favorites.
• Shopping List: Create a shopping list from selected recipes.
• Measurement Conversion: Add tools to convert measurements, temperatures, and units in recipes.
• Serving Size Adjustment: Allow users to adjust ingredient quantities based on serving sizes.
