What's New in v1.3.0

5 New Project Types

• Rust (Cargo) — auto-detects Cargo.toml, commands: cargo build/run/test/clean
• Go — auto-detects go.mod, commands: go build/run/test/clean
• pnpm — auto-detects pnpm-lock.yaml, commands: pnpm build/dev/test
• Bun — auto-detects bun.lockb / bun.lock, commands: bun run build/dev, bun test
• Yarn — auto-detects yarn.lock, commands: yarn build/start/test

Smart detection: When a project has package.json AND a lock file (pnpm-lock.yaml, bun.lockb, yarn.lock), the specific package manager is detected instead of generic Node.js.

Auto-Update

• Version check on startup: If a newer version exists, you'll see a notification when running any pm command
• pm update command: Downloads and installs the latest JAR from GitHub Releases automatically
• No more checking the repo manually!

Other Improvements

• pm doctor now checks all 12 runtimes (Java, Maven, Gradle, Node.js, npm, .NET, Python, Rust, Go, pnpm, Bun, Yarn)
• Runtime checker shows install instructions (winget + download URL) for all new types
• 219 tests (up from 172), all passing

Installation

First time? Download and install:

1. Download projectmanager-1.3.0.jar from this release
2. Download Source code (zip) and extract it
3. Place the JAR inside the extracted folder
4. Run the installer:
   • Windows: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\install.ps1
   • Linux/Mac: chmod +x scripts/install.sh && ./scripts/install.sh

Already have ProjectManager?

pm update
