✨ New Features

• Update Your Way: You can now disable the automatic update check on startup. Head over to Settings > About and toggle "Check for updates on startup" to take control.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Startup Smoothness: We fixed an issue where the app would shyly minimize to the tray immediately after installation or first launch. It now proudly stays open when you launch it manually!
• Chart Stability: Fixed a pesky crash when generating charts with custom app tags. No more KeyNotFoundException ruining your data analysis.
• Installer Polish: The installer generation script has been improved to ensure all necessary files (including the main executable!) are correctly packaged every time.

🔧 Under the Hood

• Smarter Startup Detection: We've moved away from file-based startup detection to a more robust command-line argument approach (--startup). This separates "system auto-start" from "user manual start" much more reliably.
• Code Cleanup: Removed legacy code related to the old startup mechanism and tidied up the project files.

Performance

  • New behavior: Accumulate in memory and flush to disk only once every 60 seconds (or on application exit). This significantly reduces disk writes and improves system responsiveness.

v2.0.5.0 - New custom date range info viewer, Improved Icon Handling and bug fixes

This release adds a new "Custom Date viewer" tab that allows users to analyze app usage over a custom date range. It also includes several improvements and bug fixes.

New Features:

• Date Range Chart: A new "Custom Date viewer" tab has been added, allowing users to select a start and end date and generate a pie chart showing app usage for that period.
• Tag/App Toggle: A toggle switch allows users to switch between viewing the chart data grouped by application tag and by individual application.
• Dynamic App Colors: When viewing the chart by application, each application is assigned a distinct, dynamically generated color(or atleast tries ;( ).
• Sorted Data: The chart data is sorted by duration (descending) in both tag and app views.

Improvements and Bug Fixes:

• Icon Handling: Improved icon handling, though there are still some extraction issues, using a question mark as default icon.
• Tooltip Formatting: Chart tooltips now display durations correctly in hours and minutes.
• Fixed several data binding errors.
• Fixed border issues

Known Issues:

• Icon extraction is still not working reliably for all applications.

v2.0.4.2- Bug Fixes and UI Improvements

This release fixes several issues related to updating the number of days displayed in the app usage chart and improves the user interface.

Changes:

• Fixed: The application no longer requires a restart after changing the "Days to show on the graph" setting. An "Apply Changes" button has been added to the Settings page.
• Fixed: A crash that occurred when clicking "Apply Changes" has been resolved.
• Fixed: The UI now correctly navigates back to the Home page after applying changes in the Settings page.
• Improved: The XAML structure of the Settings page has been cleaned up for better event handling.
