v1.6.0-greek2 (X4 Pro) – Greek hyphenation fix

Fix for Greek hyphenation not working on most Greek books. Replaces v1.6.0-greek, Xteink X4 Pro only.

Hyphenation was picked only from the book's language tag, and a lot of Greek EPUBs (translations especially) say en or nothing at all. Those got the English rules, which skip Greek letters, so no Greek word was ever split and justified lines filled up with gaps. Now any Greek word uses the Greek rules, whatever the book says.

Books already opened get re-laid out automatically on first open (section cache bumped to v78), nothing to clear by hand.

Everything else is the same as v1.6.0-greek: Greek in the reader and UI fonts, Greek UI, Vietnamese/Arabic taken out. 6,015,456 bytes (official 1.6.0 is 6,072,544).

Settings to check

In Ρυθμίσεις > Ανάγνωση > Διάταξη σελίδας:

• Συλλαβισμός: on
• Στοίχιση παραγράφου: Πλήρης. If it's Αριστερά, or book style with a book that asks for left, you get ragged lines and big gaps no matter what.

Install

Put firmware-x4-pro-v1.6.0-greek2.bin on the SD card, then Settings > System > SD Card Firmware Update. The updater checks chip, board tag x4pro, checksum and SHA-256 before writing it to the spare slot. Version shows as 1.6.0-greek2.

Not tested on a real device yet, simulator only, so still a pre-release.

v1.6.0-greek (X4 Pro) – superseded by v1.6.0-greek2

CrossInk 1.6.0 with Greek, for the Xteink X4 Pro only. Built from feat/greek-support, which is up as a PR on uxjulia/CrossInk.

• Greek in the built-in reader fonts (Bitter + Noto Serif Greek, Lexend Deca + Noto Sans Greek) and the UI font
• Greek hyphenation for books tagged el
• Ελληνικά in Settings > System > Device > Language
• Vietnamese and Arabic taken out to make room, so it's still smaller than the official 1.6.0 (6,015,296 vs 6,072,544 bytes)

Not tested on a real device yet, only the simulator. That's why it's a pre-release.

Install

If the reader already runs CrossInk:

1. Put firmware-x4-pro-v1.6.0-greek.bin anywhere on the SD card
2. Settings > System > SD Card Firmware Update, pick the file

The updater checks the file first (chip, board tag x4pro, checksum, SHA-256) and writes it to the spare slot, so a bad file gets refused instead of flashed. If it's still on the stock Xteink firmware, install the official CrossInk from https://inky.crossink.dev/#flash-tools first, then do the above.

To go back, flash the official firmware-x4-pro-v1.6.0.bin the same way. Version shows as 1.6.0-greek, so the updater won't offer the official 1.6.0 on top of it, but it will offer 1.6.1+ when that's out (that one won't have Greek unless the PR gets merged).

Don't use this on X3/X4, Sticky or X4 Classic, the updater will refuse it anyway because of the board tag.
