What Does This Release Contains?

This release contains the engine source code and a demo made with the Eve engine. To develop or create something with Eve download the Eve main source code. To try the demo you can install Eve.Demo.Executable.zip then you will find a .exe file you can execute on your PC.

How to compile Eve Demo?

If you are on Linux, you want to see the source code or compile it yourself install Eve.Demo.Source.zip which includes all the files needed. To build it, execute cmake --preset release which will download all the dependencies and prepare for the build and then execute cmake --build --preset release which will compile the executable. Before starting the program check if there are three Slang's .dll in the binary dir. If not go to build\release\_deps\slang_binaries-src\bin get slang.dll, slang-compiler.dll, slang-glslang.dll and copy them in build\release.

Note:

In console will you get an error like Icon not found or similar, do not worry about it. The engine is looking for the Eve icon and it is not founding it. If you want to solve this little warning you can get the eve logo directly from the Eve's main source code and paste it in the same directory of the demo executable.
