3DFastCraft now runs on .NET 10, with a tidier Surface panel and a crash report that says what went wrong.

New in 4.7.0
Under the hood
- Built on .NET 10. Support for .NET 8, which earlier versions used, ends in November 2026.
Nothing to install: the exe still carries everything it needs. - If the app ever fails, the full error is saved to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\3DFastCraft\crash.log, and the
message box tells you where it is.
Surface
- Rebuild face has a row of its own. Clone sits together with its two options,
Thickness and Grow outline, under a title of their own. Cancel is now Close. - Clone works on the one face you read. Picking several faces with Shift+click is gone.
Known limits
- Trim reads the outer edge as seen from above: a part that overhangs is trimmed to the outline of
its widest part, and Z only takes the top and bottom off. - Grow / Shrink cannot make anything disappear: a distance more than some part is wide would fold
it through itself, and it is refused. - Rebuild, Keep the shape leaves faces with holes as they are, and every point on their outline.
.3dfcprojects from before 4.3 are import only: one is imported onto the plate, but its kept
versions do not come along. Save it again to have a 3MF project.- A slicer that saves over a project drops the project inside it: keep the project and the
slicer's file apart. - The Library and most of its parts are still marked beta: check what a part gives you before
a long print.
Licence
BSD 3-Clause with the Commons Clause — free to use, change and pass on, in a business too; selling
the software itself needs a commercial licence. Models you make with it are your own.
Manifold (via ManifoldRust) is Apache-2.0, the boolean fallback follows csg.js (MIT), and outlines
are offset with Clipper2 (Boost); see THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md. The moon lamp's map is from NASA's
