Wow, a P-47 with a 5-cylinder engine sounds absolutely amazing! That is the perfect model for a scale cockpit simulation. Is she from CARF? I love Razorback version! While I am troubleshooting the widget, I will try to start looking into the instrumentation layout for the P-47. I will keep you posted! |

great project |

Yes i have several on my x20proaw none on my x18. And yes I am on 26.1.2 on both of them.

I installed it on my x18 and installation was easy and straightforward. Everything worked and I think I can work out the meaning of the italian texts. Only problem I already expected it did not really displayed correctly on the small x18 screen. This evening and tomorrow I thus going to install it on my x20proaw and try linking it to the telemetry for now using a flightline spit. If that works going for my P47.
The other example with the touch switches I tried in the sim and worked fine and is nice but I do not see me using it except for demo of what the frsky can do.

Hi Massimo,
Used to have a spectrum ix20 but never regretted switching. Spectrum is nice and easy to program but overpriced for outdated hard and software.
I see you point for an easy to check screen for switches. Never thought about that option but now I want it. Instead of checking each switch individually i see them at once. Very useful for my big planes with many options like P47 and me turbines!
Just installed on my x20 and it looks great. Now the next step is binding to the telemetry etc.
Great job (also what I missed on my Spectrum the active community)

One star is given!
Cannot wait for the new version you just described in the group but for now its amazing. Just working on the spitfire and got a couple of dials working such as voltage and I REALLY like it. Highest compliments for such an amazing performance!

Hi,
I am working with your cockpit dials. I have some remarks.
1: in the artificial horizon you need to have some possibility for offsets. My receiver is not fully mounted flat and also sideways. My ah is thus totally of
2: if I understand the fuel cauge decreases depending on the throttle position. However I have a sensor in my spitfire that measures current and have a variable that calculates remaining capacity (and a variable based on a switch that specifies basr capacity of the lipo). Which is more accurate than throttle position. The same applies for my turbines which delivers amount per min and amount consumed. It would thus be advantageous to use any of these.

Ferdie

Like it, a lot.

As to the fuel I have a some of the sensors and can help with the names. But the easiest is to let the user select a telemetry value and let the user select 0 and 100 as min and max and warning value. The needle just displays the selected telemetry value. For example i use the frsky current sensors when flying electric. From these it is easy to develop a percentage. Thus the needle start at 100 (% or liter to make the display nice and rge calculated value drops when flying and when at 30 (my selected value) it gives a warning.
This works with most of my lipo’s as the percentage remaining is calculated based on a switch. So top position is a lipo of 6000, middle 5200 and low 4500. So whatever i placed in the plane as long as the switch is in correct postion (confirmed by audio outputting the capacity) half used is always 50% and the needle should be in the middle.
Thus using throttle without a sensor your formula, selecting a calculated parameter needle is equal to parameter.

Will send you some shots tomorrow.

This is how I solved it for the current sensor from frsky
Telemetry sensors
Sensors in detail
Switch defines which at which consumption the lipo is at 30% thus which lipo I placed
And example of one placed lipo if switch is changed
Message if remaing capacity is 30%

Just let me know once i can download a new version to do some real world testing.

Hi Benno00 and modelist1, I have finally created a new release for the updated version of SpitFW! As you know, on the main spitfw-presentation repository, I added the "Try SpitFW now in your browser" link, which should point to this new release so you can try it directly in the web simulator. Thanks a lot for your help and let me know if you like this new version! Massimo |

Coming weekend I will do a real life test with my flightline spit before transferring to my large P47.
Will keep you informed.

Hi everyone!
To help me decide the future of the SpitFW framework, I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks to the new ETHOS 2.0.0 and FW 26.1.2 version, the RAM management issues are now almost resolved—to the point where this framework is very close to being fully usable on real models.
Please leave a quick comment below:
👍 "This is awesome, I find it highly interesting for my models!"
👎 "Not really interested, drop the project."
Any feedback, ideas, or simple words of encouragement are highly appreciated. Let me know if it's worth continuing!
