Rulebook Comparison

Rulebooks and software

Association rulebooks govern the competition. STRATHMARK estimates cutting times and proposes marks; its engine policy is not itself a sporting rulebook.

Shared handicap meaning

The handicap guide explains the common mechanics: staggered starts, faster competitors waiting longer, completion at mark plus raw time, and whole-field rebasing. Book marks and displayed field marks are different records.

Association-specific procedures

Penalty tables, conversion scales, panel marks, maximums, draws, eligibility, protests and handicap-book administration vary. An integration must supply the applicable procedures rather than invent them from a model output.

V2's cutoff, mark bounds and optimizer are product choices. V3's frozen rounds, review and settlement mechanisms are product choices too. Neither automatically implements every AAA, QAA or other association procedure.

Judges decide legal completion and placings. The governing body controls eligibility, protests and penalties. STRATHEX handles the event workflow; STRATHMARK supplies calculation evidence. No compliance certification is claimed by this wiki.
