Cleo v0.9.0

Cleo v0.9.0 combines incremental conversation persistence, safer automatic backup retention, refreshed desktop branding, and composer improvements. It also includes the tray and background memory work merged since v0.8.2.

Highlights

• Save compact conversation data and search fragments incrementally after each turn, retaining the existing source SHA-256 and logical conversation order. Missing historical search fragments now trigger recovery from the original event log.
• Keep at most three complete automatic user-data backups, preserving snapshots referenced by recovery and retrying interrupted cleanup safely.
• Use Cleo's own icon in Windows executable resources, macOS packages, Linux launchers, and the application interface. Windows windows and the tray share the platform-specific icon.
• Give composer dropdowns proportional arrow spacing and allow their controls to wrap in narrow layouts. Pending permission details remain available in the selector tooltip.
• Keep Cleo available in the tray after closing its window, with configurable background memory processing. Rewind markers remain durable, and background memory publication is drained before rewinding.

Upgrade and downgrade notes

Original events.jsonl files, conversations, memory, and configuration remain authoritative and are not migrated. The rebuildable compact.json cache now uses storage version 3; the new application also reads version 2.

Older applications cannot read version 3 directly. Before downgrading, close Cleo and use the v0.9.0 Python environment with the same CLEO_HOME to export the version 2 cache and legacy search index:

This export leaves original events unchanged. Returning to v0.9.0 rebuilds version 3 when the session is refreshed. The three-backup retention limit applies to complete automatic backups, separately from retained program builds.

• Apply configuration changes without restarting the backend. Running turns retain their original settings, invalid edits preserve the last valid configuration, and the desktop reports configuration problems.
• Preserve accepted task events during cancellation, settle pending callbacks, and finish terminal and harness-handoff records when cancellation arrives after the provider has completed.
• Improve ACP tool names, plans, model selection, approval prompts, and consistency between live updates and saved history.
• Initialize approvals and questions consistently for newly created, resumed, and forked tasks. Live task controls follow their actual harness when configuration changes.
• Recover missing session indexes before new writes. Keep large, excess, and unreadable untracked files visible in the changes panel, and improve undo support for long Windows paths.

• Existing v0.7.1 session and memory data remain supported. Cached timelines are rebuilt to apply the corrected tool and plan projection.
• Existing ACP sessions retain their saved approval policy, including deny_all. Select user in the session's runtime settings to receive approval prompts.

运行中输入：

• Cleo 工作时发送的消息先进入输入框上方的队列。点 Steer 立即送入当前回合；不操作则在本回合结束后作为下一条消息发送。
• 停止或失败的回合会保留队列，可逐条发送、编辑或移除。

安装器：

• Windows 安装器准备运行环境时显示当前步骤、Python 下载大小和依赖安装数量，不再长时间停在同一画面。
• 这一步可以取消，取消后会清理已准备的部分文件。
• 失败时提示出错的步骤，日志在 %TEMP%\Cleo-install.log。
• macOS 与 Linux 安装脚本每进入一个步骤都会输出一行进度。

Cleo v0.7.0 合并了 v0.6.1 的电脑操作、新的在线安装器（#72）和界面精简（#76）。

升级说明：本版本更换了安装与更新包格式，0.6.x 无法在应用内直接升级到 v0.7.0。请从下载页或本页附件下载对应平台的安装器重新安装，原有聊天、记忆与配置会保留。

电脑操作：

• /computeruse 可在内置浏览器中打开网页、登录、点击和输入，不移动真实鼠标，也不抢焦点。
• Windows 上可授权 AI 操作本机电脑。授权只对当前任务有效，并提供紧急停止快捷键和随时接管。
• 不再需要 Docker、WSL 或 Linux 桌面镜像。
• 检查器新增「文件」标签页，可浏览和预览工作目录中的文件；点击聊天中的文件链接会直接定位。

安装器：

• 新增 Windows 安装器（.exe）、macOS 安装包（.pkg，Apple Silicon 与 Intel）和 Debian/Ubuntu 安装包（.deb）。
• 安装器从官方来源下载并校验 Python、Node 和依赖快照，校验后端能正常启动才完成安装；相同的运行环境会复用。
• macOS 安装包暂未签名和公证，首次安装时可能需要在「系统设置 › 隐私与安全性」中允许。

界面：

• 删除各处多余的说明文字，例如回复下方的「耗时未记录」和导入页的大段说明。
• 命令面板改为单行；输入框下方的选项按内容宽度显示；运行状态显示为中文。
