v0.1.2
v0.1.1
v0.1.0 - first release
First public release.
Install
- Download
apex-roller-v0.1.0-windows-x64.zip(below). - Extract anywhere (e.g.
Documents\ApexRoller\). - Run
apex-roller.exe. Right-click the "AR" tray icon to configure. - Right-click -> Run at Startup to launch automatically on Windows login.
What works
- Roller adjusts the active Sonar channel's volume in real time.
- Media button cycles through channels.
- Active channel + level shown on the keyboard OLED.
- Sonar GG UI sliders update live as you roll.
- Per-keyboard filtering: only intercepts events the SteelSeries software
synthesizes from the Apex Pro itself; hardware media keys on other
keyboards keep working normally. - Tray menu: Pause, Include Master channel, Include Streaming
sliders, Run at Startup, Open Logs, Quit. Choices persist in
%LocalAppData%\ApexRoller\config.json.
Default cycle (Streamer mode): Game -> Chat -> Media -> Aux, monitoring
sliders only. Enable the two inclusion toggles to add Master and/or the
streaming sliders.
Requirements
Windows 10/11, SteelSeries Apex Pro Gen 3 (or variant with the roller +
OLED), SteelSeries GG installed with Sonar enabled. Sonar in Streamer
mode for full feature coverage.
Known limitations
- Classic-mode live UI sync isn't wired (audio + OLED still work). Run
Sonar in Streamer mode for the full experience. - No auto-update yet.
See the README
for the full description and how it works under the hood.
