Ghostty Studio v0.2 — Early Preview
Pre-releaseGhostty Studio v0.2 turns the first preview into a focused local settings editor: it gets you to the
right config quickly, keeps changes reversible, and stays out of the way until a decision matters.
What feels different
- Open straight into the last valid configuration when there is nothing to choose.
- See a contextual terminal preview only for settings it can represent honestly.
- Edit opacity as a percentage without boundary-value flicker.
- Keep changes in a compact draft dock, with reset and one-step undo after a discard.
- Review a readable change summary before opening the raw config diff.
- Handle first run, missing configs, multiple config sources, external edits, and interrupted work as
deliberate product journeys instead of edge cases.
Safer by default
- Ghostty validates every candidate before an atomic write.
- Revision checks stop stale drafts from overwriting outside changes.
- A local snapshot is created before each save or restore.
- Unknown settings, comments, ordering, blank lines, BOM, CRLF, and newline style are preserved.
- The WebView has no general filesystem, network, or shell capability.
The release passed 45 frontend tests, 51 Rust tests, strict Clippy, a production build, signature and
DMG integrity verification, and independent scans for credentials, personal paths, and real Ghostty
configuration data.

This is still an early preview. The app is ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or notarized, so
macOS may ask you to confirm the first launch. The interface is currently in Simplified Chinese, and
the editable surface remains intentionally limited to settings with an audited write contract.
