Sunrise and Sunsets not correct for time and locations

Example: I have put in the date 2/25/2025 for Tampa Florida. When I scroll through the time it has the sun below the horizon at 16:00 (4:00 PM). Actual sunset is 18:28 (6:28 PM). It has the sun starting to rise before 03:30 (3:30 AM). Actual sunrise is 06:58 AM (6:58 AM)
This just started a few days ago. Do I have something set wrong?

Most likely your timezone or location is wrong.

Thanks, I thought the time zone was automatically set when I changed locations. I am writing a book that spans 7 decades, and when my characters are looking at the sky, I want to be accurate in what they are seeing at the time, date, and location they are looking from.

Zones are loaded when you load place names when you have enabled the respective options. When you click on the map, we cannot know the time zone at the moment, as this is a political decision. In any case, time zone is displayed.

That explains why I have not encountered this problem before. I had never loaded a place name before. Thanks
