Tinify for Mac 1.0.2

A smoother, calmer Optimize flow: images appear the instant you drop them, stay in place while they process, and finish in one honest batch receipt.

Improvements

  • Dropped images are staged immediately — the queue no longer waits for the background helper before showing your files.
  • The queue keeps every image in place while a batch runs: each row updates from Queued to Processing to its own result, with per-row Cancel, instead of switching to a separate processing screen.
  • Finished batches collapse into a single receipt that covers the whole batch — total savings, and an honest breakdown when files were unchanged, failed, or were canceled — with a file-by-file view one click away.
  • Drag-and-drop transitions are clean: no frozen frames while large images decode (previews now decode off the main thread), no ghost text during the drop, and rows enter uniformly.
  • Escape or the new Clear button dismisses a finished receipt and returns to the drop state. The app always opens on a fresh workspace; history stays in Activity.

Fixes

  • The app no longer reopens on a previous session's result.
  • Updating the app now restarts the background helper automatically, so processing works right after an update without toggling anything.
  • Command-A keeps working across the whole queue lifecycle, and Delete on a row cancels its job while a batch is running.

Compatibility

  • Requires macOS 14 or later on an Apple silicon Mac.
  • Settings, presets, automations, and linked accounts carry over.

Known issues

  • The public Intel build is withheld until separate physical Intel and filesystem validation is complete.
  • VoiceOver and full keyboard-navigation coverage for some Optimize controls is still being improved.
