Forge3D v3.1.0
Pre-release
Pre-release
Forge3D v3.1.0 adds a practical assembly workflow to its native OpenSCAD editor.
Highlights:
- Measure between two model surfaces and keep a session log.
- Place non-destructive round through-holes while retaining source parts and cutters.
- Read automatic dimensions and picked distances with consistent, zoom-independent labels.
- Use a cleaner assembly inspector, compact viewport tools, and a fully collapsible bottom panel.
- Explore six editable Math Lab studies in knots, recursion, waves, polar curves, phyllotaxis, and ruled surfaces.
- Import SCAD with relative dependencies and export corrected STL coordinates.
Requirements:
- OpenSCAD must be installed locally for rendering.
- macOS DMGs are unsigned native Apple Silicon development previews. Gatekeeper may require manual approval or quarantine removal after download.
- OpenSCAD language-server support is limited to Windows development builds. Packaged Windows support and macOS/Linux binaries remain follow-up work.
- Print Mode and slicer workflows remain planned work, not release features.
