Optimum v0.3.18

This release targets Vintage Story 1.22.7 and includes compatibility, settings, installer, and bootstrap updates merged since v0.3.17.

Compatibility and settings

• Komet interoperability. Komet can negotiate ownership of adaptive-radius updates with Optimum. Optimum restores its behavior on shutdown, and its render-path guard remains active when an interop provider is present.
• Data-driven Extra settings. The settings rows now come from data instead of hardcoded controls.

Fixes

• Tessellation queue order. Tessellation keeps queue order when no EntityPlayer is available.
• Chat status output. Chat status shows the full status and escapes markup characters.
• Bootstrap cache validation. Bootstrap rejects incomplete decompile caches and creates a runtime-donor snapshot when its manifest is missing.
• SDK and PowerShell handling. Donor scripts verify the selected .NET SDK before using it. The PowerShell build driver skips profiles and handles execution-policy restrictions.

Installer and multi-platform packaging

• macOS packaging. The installer handles empty arrays on Bash 3.2 and treats icon conversion as optional.
• Linux desktop entries. Installer entries include searchable names and keywords. Installer branding uses the current Optimum logo.

Launcher coordination

• Native patch overlays. Each published release includes Linux x64 and Windows x64 overlays with a matching optimum-manifest-<rid>.json. RiftLauncher PR #559 adds host-platform manifest selection and archive verification for these assets.

Verification

• Full build completed with zero warnings and errors. Patch and shader checks passed.
• Optimum.Tests: 747 passed, 34 skipped. Optimum.Launcher.Tests: 21 passed. Optimum.Cli.Tests: 24 passed. Optimum.Bootstrap.Core.Tests: 154 passed. Optimum.Installer.Tests: 78 passed.
• Installer packaging passed on Windows, Linux, and macOS. The overlay workflow passed on Linux and Windows and attached both platform assets.
• Direct release-asset verification confirmed the manifest RIDs, Optimum version 0.3.18, Vintage Story version 1.22.7, archive sizes and SHA-256 values, and every listed file hash: 75 files on Linux and 76 on Windows.

Known issues

The Windows installer is not code-signed with an EV certificate, so SmartScreen may warn on first run. macOS builds require allowing unsigned apps or running the installer from source.
