Fixed

  • CLI -b benchmark crash on L9-L11 files larger than ~400MB. The benchmark used the raw API which silently fell back to self-contained blocks on OOM, producing incorrect ratios. Public framed APIs (CompressFile, DecompressFile, CompressFramed) were never affected.
  • Double-offset bug in fast-path DecompressFramed on multi-block data.

Performance

  • Zero-copy fast-path DecompressFramed(ReadOnlySpan, Span): parses frame/block headers in-place without MemoryStream. Full benchmark speed restored.
  • CLI -b and -bc now use framed API with correct sliding window at all file sizes.

Changed

  • README: threading model documented per level with Parallel Compress/Decompress columns.
  • L9 enwik9 ratio corrected: 29.9% (was SC fallback) → 24.2% (correct sliding window).

Requires .NET 8 or .NET 10 runtime.
