Magic Trackpad for Windows v0.1.0-dev.6.0

This is the first public binary prerelease of Magic Trackpad for Windows.

The project provides a safety-focused Windows 11 installer, diagnostics, and lifecycle-management layer around the upstream MagicTrackpad2ForWindows driver for Apple Magic Trackpad.

Validation

The final release binary was built from:

The final Setup completed focused validation on a clean Windows 11 x64 VM:

• clean installation: PASS
• expected driver installation and post-install verification: PASS
• reinstall with the current driver already present: PASS
• Driver Store no-op behavior: PASS

The wider dev.6.0 candidate validation also covered application-only uninstall, safe real driver removal in a VM, reinstall after removal, and connected-device fail-closed behavior on a physical Windows 11 x64 host with an Apple USB-C Magic Trackpad A3120.

Important notes

• The outer Setup.exe wrapper is currently not code-signed (NotSigned).
• The embedded upstream driver CAT/SYS payload remains Microsoft-signed and is verified separately.
• The currently validated project scope is Windows 11 x64 with Apple USB-C Magic Trackpad A3120.
• ARM64 lifecycle validation has not yet been completed.
• Windows 10 is not currently claimed as a validated project target.
• This is a development prerelease.

Downloads and source

For compliance and reproducibility, this release publishes the binary bundle together with:

• the exact wrapper source archive,
• the corresponding upstream source archive,
• the preserved upstream build workflow,
• provenance metadata,
• and SHA256SUMS.txt.

Please use the controlled binary ZIP rather than a standalone raw Setup executable.

此前 dev.6.0 Candidate 验证还覆盖了仅卸载应用、安全真实删除驱动、删除后重新安装，以及实体 Windows 11 x64 + Apple USB-C Magic Trackpad A3120 的连接设备 fail-closed 验证。

注意事项

• 外层 Setup.exe 当前尚未代码签名（NotSigned）。
• 内嵌上游驱动 CAT/SYS 仍保持 Microsoft 签名，并由项目单独验证。
• 当前正式验证范围为 Windows 11 x64 + Apple USB-C Magic Trackpad A3120。
• ARM64 生命周期尚未完成验证。
• 当前不声明 Windows 10 为项目已验证支持范围。
• 本版本属于开发预发布版本。

发布时同时提供二进制包、精确 wrapper 源码、上游对应源码、上游构建工作流快照、来源信息和 SHA256 校验文件。
