Tab Warehouse 2.5.0
Tab Warehouse 2.5.0 helps you save faster and not forget what you saved. It adds due dates on links, quick save without the popup, a warning when a page is already saved, and a Shortcuts tab in Settings.
Added
Due dates
- Give a link a due date, with a time if you want one. Set it in the popup (press Due), in the row edit form or from the row ⋯ menu.
- Each row shows a due chip: red when overdue, highlighted in the next 7 days, plain after that.
- Filter buttons Overdue and Has due date find the links you forgot.
- Also add to Google Calendar opens a filled-in Google Calendar event after you save. Google sends the reminder. The row menu has Add to Google Calendar for links you saved earlier.
- Backup JSON carries the due date. No new permission.
Saving
- Quick save: ⌘K / Ctrl+K saves the current tab into the last folder you used, without the popup. The toolbar icon shows a green ✓. If the page is already saved, the popup opens instead.
- The popup tells you when the page is already saved (it ignores tracking parameters,
#partand a trailing/), shows where, and lets you remove a copy. The button then says Save again.
Settings
- Settings › Shortcuts lists your Chrome keys, opens Chrome's shortcut page and shows the keys of the new tab page.
Changed
- The command palette now opens with ⌘⇧K / Ctrl+Shift+K. It is a Chrome shortcut, so you can pick another key at
chrome://extensions/shortcuts, and it works right after a new tab opens with the cursor in the address bar. ⌘K / Ctrl+K is now quick save. - The website has a Due dates section, the new keys, the Shortcuts tab and a Star this project button.
- Dev:
tools/set-shortcuts.js, run in the console ofchrome://extensions, sets ⌘K and ⌘⇧K on Tab Warehouse and clears those keys from other extensions. It does not ship.
Tab Warehouse 2.4.0
Tab Warehouse 2.4.0 helps you find and sort links faster. It adds a command palette, search from the address bar, link notes and priority, a duplicate finder and your own tags.
Added
Find links
- Command palette: press ⌘K / Ctrl+K anywhere to search links, folders and Settings tabs. Enter opens the link; ⌘/Ctrl/Shift+Enter opens it in a background tab.
- Address bar search: type
tw, a space and some text in Chrome's address bar to see up to 5 matching links. - Search (sidebar, palette and
tw) also matches the link note and the tag name.
Notes and priority
- Give a link a one-line note (max 200 characters) and a priority: High, Medium or Low.
- Set them in the popup, in the row edit form or in the row ⋯ menu.
- Priority links come first, with High / Medium / Low / Other headers in plain folders. A colored stripe marks each priority link.
- Filter buttons above the list: All, High, Medium, Low, Has note.
- Backup JSON carries notes and priority. Undo after a delete restores them too.
Duplicates
- Settings › Duplicates lists links that have the same address, oldest first, with the folder path and the date added.
- Keep this deletes the other copies. Keep the oldest in every group cleans all groups at once. Both have an 8 s Undo.
- An option ignores the
#partand tracking parameters such asutm_*.
Your own tags
- Add tags next to PROD / TEST / STAGE / LOCAL, for example QA or UAT, in Settings › Tags › Your tags. Each has a name, a plain name and one of 6 colors.
- Rules by address can give your tags. Each tag gets its own column in Same site in each version.
- Your tags show in every view: badges, Tag sort, Tag matrix, Open on , the Board, the popup and search.
- Copy / paste text and Backup JSON carry your tags.
Popup
- Open this page in: open the same page on the other versions of the site with one click. Shift/⌘/Ctrl+click opens it in the background.
Changed
- The UI says tag in place of env and label: the Settings tab is Tags, the sort is Tag, the view is Tag matrix and the untagged group is NO TAG. Saved data does not change.
- The popup is more compact. The Save button is always visible without scrolling.
- Opening any page clears the global search. While search results show, the sidebar marks no page as open.
- A small background service worker exists only for the
twaddress bar search. No permission changes.
