1.6.1 Patch Notes
Audio and Haptics
- Improved audio haptics capture and routing for lower latency and better stability.
- Fixed audio haptics not reactivating after app startup or persona changes.
- Changed Test Haptics to send the waveform through the controller audio endpoint instead of synthesizing it on the Pico.
- Fixed persona-aware endpoint selection for Test Haptics and Test Speaker paths.
- Improved rumble and haptics state delivery for closer DS5, DS4, and Xbox persona consistency.
- Enabled mic behavior without requiring companion duplex confirmation.
Persona and USB Behavior
- Hardened persona USB descriptors and identity reports.
- Disabled DualSense Edge enumeration. (Your DSE controller will connect normally, it will just never present as one to the host since it introduces compatibility issues without any benefits)
- When a DSE is connected to the Pico, the firmware is synthesized to prevent outdated controller firmware popups in games
- Added guards for persona transition timing so temporarily missing endpoints do not throw noisy helper errors.
App and Helper Stability
- Added Electron Browser Scale Guard.
- Reduced PII and debug-symbol leakage risk in AudioHelper release builds.
Build and Release
- Fixed CI to build the current AudioHelper target instead of the removed host-audio path.
- Bumped firmware to 1.6.1.
