quilt-c v0.1.0

The Quilt cell-fabric runtime in C99. Bare metal, the mathematical core of the polyformalism fleet.

The whole dependency closure is a C99 compiler. Clone and run:

git clone https://github.com/SuperInstance/quilt-c.git
cd quilt-c && git checkout v0.1.0
make verify                 # 1,285 assertions across 7 suites + a sha256 receipt
node release_verify.mjs --tag v0.1.0

The 5 opcodes

BIND(cell, dials) set dials, idempotent by content
LINK(c1, c2) add an undirected edge
EFFECT(cell)        propagate dial[0] to neighbors
VIEW(cell)          return dials
TICK(fabric) advance every dial, saturating at zero

Canonical serialization: type(1) || id(8 LE) || dials(32 LE) || neighbors(8*N LE). State hash: FNV-1a 64.

release_verify.mjs recomputes the tree digest, re-derives the receipt hash, and confirms the
tag names this commit. It needs no trust in the author, the CI, or this repository — git object
hashes are the trust root. The self-test covers three cases: a live release verifies, a tampered
receipt is rejected, a wrong tree hash is rejected.

If you find a problem

Open an issue. The test suite is deliberately readable and the two-reader rule would rather
you break the artifact than take our word for it. The receipt exists to be checked, not admired.

Part of a larger substrate. The fleet read is honest about where it stands, and the
externalisability audit found 0 of 10 of the project's own sealed predictions are decidable
by a stranger. That is the gap this release is a first move against.
