First public build of Time Capsule.

Downloads

  • TimeCapsule-Setup-0.1.0.exe — Windows installer (recommended). Creates Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts.
  • TimeCapsule-Portable-0.1.0.exe — Windows portable, single file. Run from anywhere.

The build is unsigned. Windows SmartScreen will warn on first launch — click More info → Run anyway.

What's in it

  • Cover screen
  • Decade-grouped vertical timeline with age-at-event badges and polaroid photo strips
  • Collapsible left-side year index — click a year to jump directly to it
  • "On this day" sidebar widget showing every event recorded for today's date across all years
  • Drag-drop photo linking (deduped by SHA-256)
  • Subject panel — set the name and date of birth for whose life the capsule is for
  • Spreadsheet importer (Year / Date / Event columns)
  • 250-year archive exporter — single self-contained HTML file with photos inlined as base64

First run

  1. Click Open the Capsule on the cover.
  2. Click Subject (top right) and enter who the capsule is for.
  3. Click Import events to load a spreadsheet, or + Add event to add one at a time.
