@Surya5599 Surya5599 released this 25 Aug 05:19

Every Claude Code session on your machine as a pixel blob pet at the edge of your screen — hops and waves a flag when it needs you, squashes and stretches while it works, sleeps with little zs when it's done.

Download

ccpets.exe below — one file, no Python needed, nothing to install. Double-click to start; double-click again (or use the tray icon) for settings. Right-click the tray icon for the menu.

It is unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen will warn on first run: More info → Run anyway. A code-signing certificate costs more than this project does. If you'd rather not take a stranger's binary on faith, overlay\build.cmd rebuilds the identical thing from source in about fifteen seconds. PyInstaller binaries also trip the odd antivirus engine as a false positive — same answer: the source is right here.

What it does

Reads the heartbeat files Claude Code already writes (~/.claude/sessions/*.json) plus the session transcripts, incrementally — they reach tens of megabytes. Shows you what each session is working on, its model, how full its context is, and how long it has been sitting there.

Click-through, so it can never swallow a click meant for the window underneath. Pick which monitor and which of nine positions it sits in, set colours and transparency, rename any project, or collapse it to a sliver that peeks open when your pointer is on it.

No network, no telemetry, no account. Nothing of Claude Code's is ever written to.

Windows only. Python 3.11+ if running from source — standard library, no pip install.
