Desktop app for machines without Internet access. The same matching engine as https://nbhdmatch.netlify.app/, with the Python runtime included — nothing is downloaded and no data leaves the computer.
- macOS (Apple Silicon):
NeighborhoodMatcher-darwin-aarch64.dmg— drag the app to Applications and open it from there. The app has no Apple developer certificate, so macOS blocks its first launch: click Done, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. Or install from Terminal, which skips that check (a download through curl is not quarantined):
curl -fsSL https://github.com/SustainableUrbanSystemsLab/NeighborhoodMatcher/releases/latest/download/install-macos.sh | sh - Windows (x64):
NeighborhoodMatcher-windows-x64-setup.exe, with the WebView2 runtime embedded so it installs offline. SmartScreen: "More info → Run anyway". - Self-hosting:
nbhdmatch-site-v*.zipis the website as a static folder for an institution's own server (see HOSTING.txt inside).
